Synopsis[]
Mel's lies are revealed when Sophie discovers a bottle in the airing cupboard, but Sophie's left is left hanging in the balance. Becca worries that she is pregnant, and Nicole's words only add to her problems. Mike discovers that Amy has stolen his story, whilst Nancy and Hannah agree to babysit for Mandy and Tony.
Plot[]
Becca goes into a toilet cubicle and takes out a pregnancy test. Mel searches for wine. Amy reads her report to Michaela. Becca opens the test, but puts it back when she hears the door opening. She finds Nicole in the bathroom. Hannah worries to Nicole that Nancy might know about Justin and Becca. Mel feels unwell from not drinking. Amy worries about stealing Mike's work for her report. Mel wants to leave the house but Sophie doesn't think it is a good idea. Nicole is not pleased when she gets a C on her work. Michaela struggles to cover for Amy. Liz is called into work unexpectedly. As she has her back turned, Mel goes missing. Nancy is still eager to gossip, but Sarah is not as keen. Sophie panics when Liz informs her that Mel has disappeared. Sophie catches Mel carrying a bag and confronts her.
Nicole demands that Becca improves her grade. She confronts Becca over her affair. Mel reveals that she has bought cola. Sophie is suspicious. Mike is enthralled by Michaela's story at the creative writing awards. Amy is nervous as she is called up to the stage. Amy stands up at the stage, reads out the title, and falls to the ground. Everyone is shocked and races over to the stage, unaware Amy has faked the collapse. Becca tries to convince Nicole that she doesn't know what she has seen. An argument ensues, which is interrupted by another teacher. Nicole reveals that she only wants Becca to know that she knows the truth. Becca says that they wouldn't believe Nicole, to which Nicole asks if she would like to see if anyone believes her.
Sophie is still suspicious of Mel. Amy panics when Mike reads out the story instead. Mike realises that Amy has taken his story. Hannah asks Nancy to join her babysitting Grace. Hannah agrees. Mike confronts Amy. He is amused at her pretending to faint and scaring everyone. Nancy complains that Becca and Jake are boring, and is looking forward to looking after Grace. She plans on inviting people over without Tony's knowledge. Mel worries about what Sophie is doing upstairs. Sophie confronts Mel over a bottle of vodka she has found in the airing cupboard. She wants to go to Drive 'n' Buy to find out when Mel bought it. Sophie follows Mel. Becca waits for the result, she is pregnant. Mel reveals that she has failed all of her exams. Mel wants the bottle and she and Sophie struggle. Mel ends up pushing Sophie, who takes a tumble down the stairs, laying unconscious at the bottom. Liz and Mel race down the stairs. Mel drops the bottle in shock.
