Jason Roscoe is the son of Sandy Roscoe and the late Rick Spencer, the twin brother of Robbie Roscoe, the half-brother of Darren Osborne, Joe, Freddie and Ziggy Roscoe, and the ex-husband of Holly Cunningham.
Jason was the 'nicer' twin brother out of him and Robbie. Jason started a serious relationship with Holly by 2014 and their storylines included blackmailing detective Sonny Valentine for allowing his shady boss Superintendent Marlow to drown whom was beating badly by Jason's villainous stepfather Fraser Black. Jason's main storyline was that when Jason suffered from body dysmorphic disorder and eventually an eating disorder. He would avoid taking the insulin he needed to treat his diabetes, over-exercise, take steroids, hide his food and purge. He continued this even after his brothers and his girlfriend discovered what he was doing and he was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa by his doctor. He eventually began to lose his sight due to his ill health and had to enter an eating disorder clinic for several months. Jason along with Robbie is devastated when their father Rick is killed later to be revealed to be that of The Gloved Hand Killer.
In October 2015, Jason told Trevor Royle that Robbie was an informant against him working with Ben Bradley this later leads Jason and Robbie to be chased down by Trevor and jump into a river with their older brother Freddie. In December 2015, Jason along with the rest of his family are devastated at the death of their brother Ziggy which was caused by Cameron Campbell. Jason would enter a love triangle between him, Robbie and Holly and one point forces himself on Holly but by March 2016, Jason departs Hollyoaks with Robbie to live with their mother Sandy in Australia. Jason is later informed of Joe's death on November 2016 by Freddie and Jason along with Sandy and Robbie are later joined by Freddie himself in April 2017.
