Kimberley "Kim" Butterfield is the twin sister of Kath Butterfield and the sister of the late Lindsey Roscoe. She is also the ex-wife of Esther Bloom.
Kim had an obsessive and manipulative side to her and this was first noticed when she began to obsess over gangster, Grace Black causing relationship issues between Grace and Trevor Royle but would later be found. Kim focused her obsessive tendencies toward, Lindsey's ex-boyfriend in Joe Roscoe again causing many problems between Joe and his loved ones. By 2018, Kim was held hostage by deranged detective Ryan Knight when she clicks on Ryan killed Amy Barnes, by July 2018, Kim was shot by dangerous gangster Glenn Donovan when he believed Kim is seeing Grace behind his back this leads Kim to enter some what of a 'cult' known by the fanbase 'WAGS' whom formed to all conspire to kill Glenn . The group included Kim, Grace, Farrah Maalik who is in a relationship with Kim, Simone Loveday, Maxine Minniver and Courtney Campbell. This would lead to Kim's exit by October 2018, when Glenn's middle son, Liam Donovan belives Kim was culpable leading him wanting revenge this would lead Kim to flee for her own safety with the help of her female counterparts.
Biography[]
1989-2014: Backstory[]
Kim was born in March 1989 along with her twin sister Kath Butterfield and the two would grow up inseparable often being around one another and the two looked up to their older sister Lindsey Butterfield however Kim was unaware that Lindsey caused Kath's brain damage by pushing her in a lake in a bid to kill Kath.
2014-2015: Arrival & Relationship with Esther Bloom[]
Kim is first seen in the Roscoe family home by October 2014 when she's caught by her older sister Lindsey in the Kitchen. Kim tells Lindsey that she's a student nurse at the local hospital, Dee Valley University Hospital. Kim soon meets Esther Bloom and the two instantly get along although Kim gets off on the wrong foot with Grace Black whom Esther is being a surrogate for. Kim is later put in danger however when the hospital is taken under siege by a gangster known as Big Bob along with Freddie Roscoe although Freddie was against the idea. Kim helps plenty of injured hostages including Freddie after his shot by Big Bob. However Kim along with everyone else manage to escape alive however Big Bob was killed during a battle over the gun with Cameron Campbell. Soon afterwards Kim begins to date Esther and while in her early relationship with Esther, Kim continues her petty feud with Grace but Kim would later be enlisted by Grace in a bid to help set up Freddie for that 'murder' of Mercedes McQueen and because of this Kim is then offered go move into Grace's and Trevor's flat along with Esther.
2015: Obsession's with Grace Black & Joe Roscoe[]
Not long after moving in with Esther in Grace and Trevor's flat. Kim starts to harbour an obsession for Grace and even kisses her with Grace not doing much to fight off Kim's advances this only adds to Kim's obsession however away from Grace, Kim seems to also develop one also for Joe Roscoe and even goes as far to tell Nancy Osborne that she had slept with Joe and fell pregnant with his child but Joe had forced her to abort the baby however when confronted Joe reveals Kim's obsessive side when he tells Nancy she tricked Joe into have sex with her. Kim is later left frustrated when Grace is arrested over Mercedes' supposed murder in March 2015 this leads Kim to purposely get herself arrested and sent to prison where her cellmate is Grace while inside Kim tells Trevor that Grace does not want to see him and vice versa this causes trouble between Grace and Trevor's relationship.
While inside Kim sleeps with Grace with heroes seemingly paying off but is soon released Kim is shocked when Nancy approaches Lindsey and Esther with her worries about Kim developing an obsessive over Joe and in order to prove this Kim takes a lie detector test in order to clear her name of any wrongdoing however the lie detector results reveal Kim was in fact lying and this lead Lindsey to tell Kim she has to report her recent behaviour however Kim. When Grace comes clean to Trevor about Kim's behaviour he sets out to kill her and orders Robbie Roscoe to kill Kim however Robbie only pays Kim to stay away and Kim would later return by August 2015 and help Esther take baby Curtis but would end up in a car crash which would ultimately kill Dylan Jenkins. Whom Kim was bulling earlier in the year.
2015-2016: Serial Killer Sister & Marriage to Esther[]
By October 2015, Kim discovers that Lindsey has seemingly murdered Freddie and only to discover Lindsey is the one who is the Hospital Killer. After Kim discovers this she helps Lindsey dispose of Freddie's body and they dump him in the boot of Trevor's car and soon after Kim attempts to save her sister become a better person and not harm anyone else however Kim is horrified that Lindsey was the whom caused her twin sisters brain damage by pushing her in the lake but Lindsey manipulates and threatens Kim into her silence.
Kim later takes matters into her hands by attempting to take the blame for the murders Lindsey has committed in order to take away any suspicions from Lindsey and this leads Kim to be put back into prison however Kim would soon be released after several weeks in prison when Esther along with Mercedes discover and find evidence that Lindsey is the killer and this leads Lindsey to go on the run and blackmail Kim into helping her. Kim is shocked to discover that Lindsey is working with another serial killer, Silas Blissett when she's blackmailed by Lindsey to kidnap baby JJ Roscoe however Kim is saddled when Silas murders Lindsey after giving birth to her niece Lexi.
Kim then reconciles her relationship with Esther despite Esther's grandmother Frankie Osborne against the idea. Kim even goes as far as too fake a mental breakdown in order for people to sympathize with her over Lindsey and as well as too get Esther on side however Kim's manipulation is spotted by her friend Celine McQueen and this leads to Esther ending their relationship yet again however Kim manages to open up more to Esther and they not only get back together the two would actually agree to get married and despite many minor issues such as Kim believing Esther is in love with Grace the two end up marrying anyway and in December 2016, Kim is worried when Esther goes missing but are in hiding over Eva Falco and even more so when Esther is shot by Eva and left comatose.
2017-2018: Relationships, Kidnap, Shooting and Departure[]
When Esther awakens from her coma by January 2017, Kim decides they need a place to live and ends up finding them a flat to rent but Kim continues to worry that Esther will end up falling in live with Grace and this leads Kim to manipulate Esther into staying away from Grace and remain in door by using Esther's memory loss as a way to control her and Kim goes as far as to tell Esther that Grace has murdered both Jack and Frankie after Esther has a fall and she decides to move Esther away from Hollyoaks however Kim's lies are exposed by Grace and this ends her relationship this leads Kim to try and kill Grace as revenge and after she's stopped by Esther, Kim decides to kill herself by jumping from the village bridge but Esther manages to talk her round as Kim is getting down she slips off and falls however she survives the fall and while Kim is in Hospital, Esther orders Kim to receive professional help and Kim agrees to do so.
While receiving the help Kim meets with the new hospital psychiatrist in Farrah Maalik to whom Kim grows found with as she opens up to Farrah more often in each of their sessions and when Kim discovers she's due her last one she does her best in order to add more sessions onto her health timeline however Kim would soon come clean and surprisingly Farah kisses Kim and the two decide to start a relationship however Farah's mother Misbah isn't best pleased with Farah getting with one of her clients. Months into her relationship with Farah, Kim along with Farah manage to track down and help a pregnant and Ill Sienna Blake having been held captive by Warren Fox and weeks after Kim discovers a voice recording belonging to Farah's half older brother Sami Maalik which revealed that his then girlfriend Ellie Nightingale had pushed her villainous father Mac Nightingale from The Dog top floor window as well as finding out that Sami is out to get James Nightingale.
By January 2018, Kim is involved in a car crash along with the Maalik family although Kim survives the crash her life is put in danger when she discovers another voice recording this time of Ryan Knight confessing to the murder of his ex, Amy Barnes and also finding out the reason that Tegan Lomax is currently in a coma this leads Kim to confront Ryan and this leads her to be kidnapped by Ryan and held hostage when Ryan is found out he tells Farah that he murdered Kim in a bid to taunt her however Kim is later found and later meets up with Rick Astley whom she fantasies about while she was locked away after being found Kim is seen struggling with her mental health and develops anxiety as she has panic attacks and is able to leave her home however she soon attempts to try and prove to Farah that she can cope however struggles to do so.
Kim soon becomes to suspect that there is something going on between Farah and Grace and increasingly so when Kim discovers a text message sent from Grace sent to Farrah and when Kim confronts Farrah she's left shocked when Farrah confesses she's been having an affair with Grace for months this leads Kim to confront Grace over the affair but their argument is seen by Glenn Donovan whom wrongly suspects that Kim is seeing Grace this leads Kim to be shot in the back by Glenn while Kim is hugging Farah however Kim manages to survive the shooting and when Kim discovers Glenn was the one who shot her Kim forms a group along with Grace, Maxine Minniver, Simone Loveday and Courtney Campbell and Kim along with the women conspiracy to murder Glenn in order to get rid of him when Glenn is seemingly killed by one of the women by October 2018, Kim is prime suspect when Glenn's son Liam Donovan witnesses Kim get rid of some poison and he sets out to kill Kim leading her to flee from the country. By November 2018, Kim is seen for the final time via web cam when she tells the women she had fled to Spain. Later the same month Glenn's killer is revealed to be serial killer, Breda McQueen.

- Grace Black, 5th May 2017 - After knocking Grace unconscious during a fight, Kim attempted to inject her with potassium chloride, but was stopped by Esther Bloom and Tegan Lomax.
- Glenn Donovan, 11th September 2018 - Attempted to inject Glenn with potassium chloride, but was stopped by Farrah Maalik.
- Glenn Donovan, 17th October 2018 - Attempted to spike Glenn's pint of beer along with the rest of the WAGS, however Breda McQueen ended up poisoning his drink and killed him.
